Nitivy Solvron® water soluble yarns for industrial applications (fibers)
We are distributors of Nitivy Solvron water-soluble yarn manufactured from Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) by the dry spinning method. Many significant applications have been developed and perfected that take advantage of Solcon's water-soluble properties.
Nitivy Solvron® yarns hav a range of modified properties.
Solvron is easily dissolvable in plain warm or hot water without the aid of any chemical agents. You can select the dissolving temperture most suitable for your application. The dissolving temperatures range from 30 - 95 °C. Solvron is available in a natural or tinted form, this is effectively used for a marking purpose in all knitted fabric manufacturing process, for instance, in the loading and cutting process of panty-hose and tight production. Other known applications include:
Binder thread
- When producing any item involving a fringe such as scarves, shawls and some blankets
- The normal procedure is to put several picks of cotton (or such) just before and after the fringe. These have to be removed at a later date.
- Apart from the cost of labour for the removal of these picks if the beat up of the loom is not perfect, "puckering" can form at the edge of the cloth around the fringe
- The cotton picks are replaced with Solvron; this avoids the need to remove as it simply dissolves during finishing. The added bonus is the quality issue, it eliminates the puckering problem.
Twist less pile making
- Feather-like softness and high adsorbency
- Twist-less effect for towels, bathrobes, baby wear, sports ware etc
Separation yarn
- Socks, fishing nets, sweaters and narrow tapes
Weavability improvement
- Reinforcement in fine yarns and fluff binding
Solvron sewing thread
- Tacking thread for sanitary laundry bags
- Ground cloth for embroidery
- Marking in panty-hose and tight production
Ajoure fabric
- To create fancy weave or pattern by partially dissolving the fabric, especially check designs
Special pile fabric
- By circular-double or tricot machines – creates a very interesting and high-level pile-knit fabric suitable for sports jerseys and ladies' garments

*When Nitivy Solvron is knitted or woven to fabrics, it is recommended the temperature is raised to that required for dissolving treatment, as indicated on the table.
**Shrinking yarn (Type-SHC):SHC yarn shrinks greatly in water at 25°C.
